The quality of the tuition matters.
A little note about teaching individuals:
Tuition is a skill which is improved with good training and experience. My tuition is labour-intensive and concentrated on each individual student. It is NOT simply setting general work and watching them complete it.
My tuition requires me to use my qualifications and years of school / teaching experience to make constant judgements and decisions regarding HOW to improve the learning of my students through clever use of materials and teaching methods.
I will usually interact with the student and their work throughout the whole lesson, collecting information, taking notes and giving feedback that will enable the student to make self-improvements and progress. My tuition requires my commitment to each student and a consistency that can often be lacking in a classroom. Following a lesson, I will write review notes and chat with the parents about the lesson and any homework (if agreed).
In summary, I am a teacher that spends QUALITY time with your child, in order to make a difference to the way that they learn. I do this to make a living - as my vocation and career - but mainly because I enjoy teaching; I know that I am making a difference to young people's lives.
Good tuition can change lives and futures.
